By using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted the following data protection declaration, including the procedures of the services and functions named herein, as well as our further instructions for limiting the unwanted transmission of information.

By continuing to use our website, you grant your permission and consent to the collection of data in accordance with the following descriptions and instructions, insofar as your browser settings allow or prevent this. We would like to point out possible data collections by third-party providers whose services we use via so-called plug-ins and also link to their data protection information, but we have no further influence on possible data collections by their services.

1. General data protection and security information

We take the issue of data protection seriously and hereby assure you that we only receive anonymous data from the website without personally identifying the user of the site. A personalized identification is not possible for us on the basis of the transmitted IP address, this is also NEVER our intention.
The purpose of this website is not to collect and evaluate data. We do NOT create personalized user profiles. Targeted data storage and evaluation does not take place on our servers.

The data that is visible to us is purely informative. The data protection for this site is based on and subject to German and European law (BDSG/TMG/EU-DSGVO)

We handle your personal data responsibly and therefore inform you at this point that your personal data will be collected, processed, used and forwarded in compliance with the applicable national and European data protection regulations. We and any contractual partners commissioned with the execution of orders/order processing maintain the confidentiality of the data and will not sell, rent or otherwise make it available to third parties.

Personal data will only be collected by us – unless this is necessary for the fulfillment of contracts or memberships concluded with the user or for the processing of a request by the user – and subject to the following paragraphs, only stored in customer databases or transmitted to third parties if you give your express consent to this. For this purpose, you have the opportunity to give your express declaration of consent where personal data is retrieved.
For the processing and administration as well as the use of our website, it is necessary that some of your (user) data, such as name, email address, address etc. are collected and stored by the website via corresponding forms. This data will be treated by us as strictly confidential, cannot be viewed by third parties and will only be used internally.

1.1 Data transfer to third parties

Personal data will be treated confidentially by us and will not be passed on to third parties without your consent, unless this is

  • necessary for the provision of the offered service
  • expressly permitted by law, even without your consent, or
  • required due to a court or official request.

Within the scope of order processing, we may pass on data necessary for order fulfillment to subcontractors within the company structure. However, the data will be deleted immediately after successful order processing, in accordance with the contract for order data processing concluded with the companies.

Contact

Under the heading "Contact" you can request information about our products and services electronically, by telephone or by post. For this purpose, the personal data (your first and last name and your email) to be provided for sending these materials requested by you will be collected, processed and used to process the request. Further information such as street, country, city, postal code or telephone are voluntary and serve to better contact you. Further storage and processing of your personal data will only take place if you have expressly consented to this. If you have not given your consent and there is no further cooperation that makes further contact necessary, this data will be deleted without residue – in accordance with legal obligations and regulations.

1.2 Right to information/blocking/deletion

As a user, you can stop using the website at any time.

You can demand at any time that your personal data be deleted or blocked or that an existing account be deleted or deactivated.

You also have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing at any time.

We are happy to comply with this right, as far as this is comprehensible and reconstructible for us without great effort. For further questions regarding personal data, you can contact us at any time.

NOTE: For further data protection questions, please contact us at datenschutz@hwg-media.de.

1.3 Information on user-side data protection measures

You can do the following in advance: If you want to prevent general data tracking, browser tools/plugins such as AnonymoX or the Tor network are available, and we expressly recommend using them. Furthermore, we recommend adjusting your browser's security settings by, for example, generally excluding the setting of cookies, additionally arranging for the deletion of cookies in the browser settings each time you exit the browser program, or, if your browser allows this, activating surfing in "private or incognito or VPN mode" (browser-dependent) for accessing our site. For more information, please refer to the online help in your browser or the browser manufacturer's pages.

2. SSL Encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests that you send to us as the site operator. When SSL encryption is enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

3. Server Log Files

For security reasons in particular, the server service provider stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. User-side suppression of the transmission of this referrer information is not possible in common browsers. The following are determined:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (URL that led to the server)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer (if transmitted)
  • Time of the server request

This is not personal data. It is therefore not possible for us to assign the collected data to a specific natural person.

4. Cookies

To improve the functionality of our website and to make the use of our site more convenient for you, we use so-called "cookies". With their help, data is stored on YOUR computer when you visit our site.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly (see 1.3); however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

Cookies are small text files that make it easier to use our online services by recognizing a user as such. However, the cookies we use do not collect or process any personal information, so your privacy is protected. They do not collect your email address or other characteristics (including information about your IP address(es)) that we could use to identify you. In the event that we collect, process or use personal data about you in any other way, either on the basis of your express consent or a legal permission, this personal data will not be merged with the non-personal data collected via cookies.

You have the option of completely preventing cookies from being saved on your computer by making the appropriate settings in your browser, or, for example, deleting the "cookies" on your computer only after each time you close your browser. How you block cookies in detail depends on the browser you are using. Call up the help function or the corresponding menu of your browser to obtain further information.

By generally preventing "cookies", however, the range of functions of our and other providers' offers could be restricted.
